If you want to continue using the WINDOWS OS, there is still a plethora of excellent free software apps that will run on this OS and will cover all normal requirements that are as easy to install and use as their often expensive commercial counterparts.

Just because software is free does not mean that it is inferior - indeed it is often SUPERIOR as there are huge communities of developers contributing to it.

For those interested in trying LINUX as an option to the more common PC OS, you can use the WUBI INSTALLER which will easily and effortless install a dual boot system for you while you go have a coffee (remember when doing this sort of thing to always back up all your important data first just in case of unforeseen problems.
